HIROSHIMA & MIYAJIMA IN A DAY

A full-day guided Hiroshima and Miyajima experience combining cycling, history and island exploration. Ride approximately 25 km through Hiroshima’s riverside paths and historic streets, visiting the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome before crossing to Miyajima Island for a relaxed walking tour of its famous shrines, traditional streets and seaside scenery.

Priced at ¥21,500 per person with small groups of up to 8 guests, the tour is suitable for most fitness levels (ages 13+). Includes bicycle, helmet, guide, lunch and ferry ticket to Miyajima. E-bike upgrades and private tours are available.

Departs daily from Cycle Hiroshima HQ at 9.30am.

Cover Hiroshima and Miyajima in one day by bike, boat and on foot!

Setting off from Cycle Hiroshima HQ, start with a guided cycle around the iconic Peace Park and A-bomb dome, where your guide will provide a commentary on the evocative and thought provoking surroundings. After a taste of Hiroshima’s feudal past at Hiroshima Castle, we will set off by train to board a ferry transfer to Miyajima Island (boat ticket included). 

A beautiful contrast to Hiroshima city, Miyajima’s lush greenery provides the perfect backdrop to the island’s spectacular orange Shinto buildings. Once docked, we will take a walking tour of Miyajima, learning about how the island developed as a religious centre as well as exploring the numerous picture perfect lanes and photo opportunities.

The cycling section of our route is completely flat, and suitable for anyone who can ride a bike! In addition to our fleet of Trek brand bikes in a range of sizes, we also offer step-throughs and child-sized bikes to accommodate all riders.
